Last Sunday saw the start of the YVAA series, with the 1st race held over in Honley hosted by the Homfirth Harriers, all races in the series are a mixture of track, road amd farm land with a similar distance to the Winter League races they’re neither too short or too long.
With the Honley course having over 900ft of climbing in the first 3-4 miles it certainly was going to be a tough 1st half, but sure enough our guys showed true character and recorded some great times, but more inportantly in this race set up, gained valuable points towards the end of season awards.
As good as it is to part of a team these races encourage runners to race against each other and also other runners from other clubs of your own age group. So come on QRC lets give this series a go, it’s only £5 each race.
Stacey Cleal – 6th with 128pts
Imran Asghar – 3rd with 188pts
Andrew Stott – 10th with 153pts
Mick Coe – 6th with 182pts
Carl Heron – 3rd with 174pts
Peter May – 14th with 109pts
Well done all of you, full results can be found on the YVAA website.
