On Saturday 18 January runners and walkers set off from Mytholmroyd in the early morning half light, heading up to the mill buildings at Old Town to continue – after refreshment – along the 22 mile route to Hardcastle Crags, Blackshaw Head and Cragg Vale before a final descent to very welcome hospitality in the church hall at Mytholmroyd again. The route was intricate, needing either good map reading skills at speed or a recce beforehand but it was a friendly, well-organised event and people helped each other out. One to look forward to next year.
