With their marathon training in full swing 5 QRC memebers travelled over to the Spenborough Princess Stadium to find out we’re they’re at with with their training.

This undulating course featuring over 464m of climbing takes in the towns and villages of Cleckheaton, Scholes, Clifton over Hartshead Moor and back into Liversedge. Simon Brady led the team home in a remarkable 36th place managing 2:21:20 and 3rd MV50. It’s going to be close for that sub 3 hour marathon but good luck. 

Carl Heron who as always was showing the youngsters how it’s done. Giving the lucky bermuda’s a break today he still managed a fantastic 2:22:10 coming home in 40th place, also 1st MV55.

Leanne Alston taking on all sorts of long distance races this year, she showed just how far she has come in the last year managing a PB of over 20 minutes, coming in 138th in just over the 3 hour mark of 3:02:48. 

Julie Hepworth who is training for the Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon wasn’t far behind finishing 149th in 3:09:59.

Last but no means least Phil Robinson slowly getting back into running after a long time out managing 3:41:12 over 50 minutes off his PB.
