Richmond Park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 2500 acres, with wide open spaces, grasslands and deer herds. The park is a top UK site for ancient trees and supports a range of rare species including fungi, birds, beetles, bats, grasses and wildflowers. It has protected status as an important habitat for wildlife and is a National Nature Reserve, London’s largest Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation. Race 4 of the Run Richmond Park race series – a multi-terrain, undulating, two-lapper around the scenic parkland.
Phillip Whettlock, unsurprisingly the sole QRCer, took on the 10k option.
41st Phillip Whettlock 46:52 (3rd MV50)
Well done Philip and thanks again for the easiest race report ever.
