Better late than never folks but beKos I’ve been away I wanted to make it special for all of you fantastic marathon runners.
Thousands of runners came together in Manchester last Sunday (10th) for the Therme Manchester Marathon and Manchester Half, for a truly memorable (and sunny!) day. We saw runners of all abilities lace up to tackle either a 13.1 mile or 26.2 mile course, some of whom were taking on their first event and others who were fundraising for incredibly important charities. After so many cancellations and postponements, we’re sure we all can agree it was very special to see these events finally come to life in 2021.
We had 8 QRC members on the start line with some exceptional performances and superb PB’s, but as with all these types of events the main focus is all about the 1000’s of pounds raised for some wonderful charities (nah I lied it’s all about QRC)
Chris Lane 3:37:56 (Massive PB)
Jo Fortune 3:57:03 (Massive PB)
Julie Hepworth 4:13:14
Jo Bottomley 6:14:11 (Massive PB)
Simon Taylor 1:27:46
Glenn Thornton 2:05:50
Claire Walker 2:17:56
Dina Patel 2:31:56
Jen Luwaji 2:52:35
Fantastic running from all 8 of you, well done and we hope your all fully recovered and back running the shorter stuff.
Hope I haven’t missed anybody but if I have apologies in advance
