The Leeds Half Marathon – which this year celebrates its 32nd anniversary – is firmly established as one of the highlights on Leeds’s sporting calendar thanks to its challenging course, enthusiastic crowds and fantastic atmosphere.
Around 9,000 sign up for this annual event raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities and good causes across Yorkshire and beyond.
The route starts in The Headrow alongside Victoria Gardens, heads out of the city centre, takes in a section of the Ring Road and returns via Abbey Road and Kirkstall Road before finishing in Cookridge Street alongside Millennium Square.
11 QRCers took to the streets of Leeds for this mornings race, good conditions meant all of our runners finished in fast times with some getting PB’s, led home by Martin Firth still showing that he hasn’t lost any speed.
