The race is based at York Racecourse,
the route is fast and flat, heading southwards through Bishopthorpe, Acaster Selby, Appleton Roebuck and back through Bishopthorpe to finish behind the Racecourse grandstands.
With the entries selling out within 30 minutes this really is a race for the serious runner and with 1500 places up for grabs things were hoting up well before the start.
3 of us headed to York last Sunday, luckily the predicted downpour didn’t happen and 40 minutes into the race the clouds disappeared which left is with ideal running conditions.
Well done to York Knavesmire Harriers on another successful event.
