The Bradford Millennium Way Relay is a relay of five legs with two runners per leg. Starting from and returning to Bingley, taking in Wilsden, Denholme, Oxenhope, Haworth, Oakworth, Steeton, Silsden, Addingham and Ilkley with some stunning scenery en-route. The race attracts teams from Yorkshire and Lancashire. With a total race length of 76km or 47ΒΌ miles, involving approx. 1920m or 6300 feet of climbing.
A hot dry sunny day welcomed all runners for the 8am start in Bingley and also on start lines of each leg that followed, luckily the Saltaire Striders had decided to put a water station roughly at halfway on each leg.
