Lee Hipwell had an outstanding run at the Pain Barrier on 2 November, finishing 77th of over 500 competitors over a gruelling 10k course that included extreme gradients, mud and water obstacles.
There was a strong turnout for the Harriers v Cyclists race in Bingley on 16th and many excellent performances – congratulations to all. The Baildon team scored enough joker points to move ahead of Queensbury to the top of the club league. In the individual league Ian Hartman (Baildon) remains ahead of Queensbury’s Michael Coe, with Bob Hudson and Peter Huby of Saltaire Striders in 3rd and 4th.
Coming up in December are Mytholmroyd (8th) followed by a great deal of Christmas cheer: the Stoop (22nd), Chevin Chase on 26th and the Jolly Holly Jog on 29th.
This year each club’s highest scoring team in Gathering Winter Fools relay (14th December) will count for Christmas bonus team points (average of fastest 3 team times in
category / your club team time x 8000).
