WYWL Queensbury 19th Jan 2020

Once again it was Queensbury’s turn to host race 4 of this year’s WYWL fixture, a big shout out to Glenn and his team on the race committee for a successful event and also to all that helped on the day from setting up, the marshalls and the cleaning up of Littlemoor Park.

A 5 miler of mud and boggy ground helped by the consistent rain over the last few days meant for a tough race and a real thigh sapper.

Well done to Tom for taking his 1st win of the season and putting himself in control of the Mopen category, Paul Greenwood in 3rd place in the MV35’s, Mick Coe sitting pretty in 2nd in the MV50’s with Simon (3rd) just 7 points behind, Carl Heron 3rd in the MV55’s, Pete Hughes with another strong run keeping control of the M60’s but with Mark Crabtree in close pursuit and with Stacey in 1st place in the FV50’s things are looking good for QRC.

But as we all know it was all about the day and these races at QRC would not be possible without the help and hard work that goes into them behind the scenes, well done to Glenn, Jo, Jane, Angela, Helen and other helpers and vounteers.

Full results can be found in ‘files’ section on the WYWL FB page.
