Whittle Pike Fell Race 17Th August 2019

The Whittle Pike fell race is described as a rough, tough race over 5 ½ miles with 1600ft of climbing and it certainly lived up to this with plenty of mud, bogs, stream crossings and fog to add the seemingly never-ending ascents and descents of Scout Moor.

The race starts from Cowpe Village Hall in the Lancashire Borough of Rossendale and heads up to the cross on top of Whittle Pike before heading back down to the village hall.

Andy Smith made the trip over and finished in 1:38:31 coming 119th out of 120.

Well done Andy and once again thanks for making my life easy with a nice race report.
