Length of time been running? Why? 25 years. For general fitness and to offset the effects of being born with chronic asthma (low chest capacity, narrow windpipe, 'weak' chest).
Previous Club(s) and Year(s) St Bedes AC, Feb 1986 - Dec 31st 1999. Unattached until 1986, except 1982 when a member of Potteries Marathon Club (12 months)
Reason(s) for joining QRC Nearer to home, small and friendly club and the freedom to do the races I wished to do.
Favourite type of running: (track, road, offroad, XC) Road, very muddy X-C.
Training schedule and distances 50-55 miles per week average, ALL year including 15-18 races. 1xlong week weekly run if no race, of 12 increasing to 22 miles. 2nd long run 8 miles increasing to 15 miles per week. Other runs 5-8 miles. Train 6 days per week average.
