Bunny Run 2 – 05/04/16

Evening beautiful people,

Yesterday evening saw the 2nd of 3 Bunny Runs. A 5k trail race over Penistone Hill Country Park.

The race was won for the 11th time by Tom Adams in 15:22 and in 4th place came Ian Holmes who smashed the V50 record in 16:34. Absolutely insane.

Anyway, more importantly, we had 5 of our own thoroughbreds getting all sweaty yesterday;

Tom Collinge – Finished an impressive 8th in a spectacular 16:56.
Ben Clare – Came home in 49th in an impressive 19:48
Stacey Cleal – Powered through in 24:46 to take 164th place
Graham Collinge – Found 197th place with a modest 26:11
Stephen Wilby – Landed in 226th with 30:33 out of 278 finishers and 5 retirees.

Managed to find photos of all runners bar Graham who, yet again, dodged the cameras!!

Well done guys.

Regards,

Matt

Great Northern Trail Triathlon – 27/03/16

Great Northern Trail Triathlon – 27/03/16

Yesterday saw 5 QRC members take part in the local Triathlon. This consisted of a 400m swim in the Queensbury pool, a 15k bike ride along the Great Northern Trail and surrounding area then finally a 5k run along the Trail.

A massive well done to Martin Firth, Zoe Hipwell, Diane and Bronte Simpson and Claire Baggley.

Unfortunately I was unable to find any times.

There’s plenty of photos floating about so, here, have some different ones!

Guiseley Gallop MT 10K – 27/03/16

This is a multi terrain 10k race through woods, along tracks, paths, canal towpath and roads. It was a new route this year which included running the hill up from Esholt twice.

Anna informs me there was plenty of mud, lots of tree roots and the gradients made for a good run, both up and down with a flat road section.

We had two hardy QRC runners partake in this Sunday’s race Anna Smith and Steve Searle.

Steve Searle – 69th – 47:04
Anna Smith – 143rd (14th Female – 1st F50) 51:51

Well done, excellent running on a tricky 10k race.
