With ideal running conditions 4 QRCers took on this undulating half marathon, with a start time of 11am all entrants had a nice relaxed build up to the race.
The race run by Roberttown Road Runners is run annually in mid February and is also on the list for my proposed winter club champs starting in October. Runners leave the picturesque village green of Roberttown heading towards Liversedge before turning left and onto the main road crossing over the M62, then heading down to Balliff Bridge, before climbing back into Clifton and onto the long ascent back to the main road over the M62 taking a right and following the last 3 miles on country lanes and back in the village green.
With Peter and Richard pretty much neck and neck, it was Peter who managed to open up a gap on the climbs to finish 1st for QRC.
Well done to you all, great stuff guys n gals.
