A challenging rural course of approximately 6 miles starting from the Pie Hall (did someone mention PIE!!!), Denby Dale. The course is what race organisers would describe as ‘ undulating’ ; not a PB course but really good fun !
229 competitors ran the 2017 edition of the Travellers 6 on a damp December morning. The race was won by Scott Hinchcliffe of Penistone Footpath Runners in a record time of 33:07. First lady home was Fiona Davies from Rotherham Harriers in 38.34.
The Men’s team prize went to Penistone, narrowly beating Denby Dale with Holmfirth Harriers just pipping Wakefield Tri for the ladies team prize.
Well done to Andy Dovernor, Richard and Steve Brook for taking on this race over in Wakefield.
WELL DONE GUYS
