3 peaks Cyclo-Cross 24th Sept 2017

55th ANNUAL 3 PEAKS CYCLO-CROSS
Sunday 24th September 2017

The 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross is staged in the Yorkshire Dales National Park every year at the end of September. Starting and finishing at Helwith Bridge, 2 miles south of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the 38 miles race of which 34 are rideable (20 cross and 18 road) along with over 5000 feet of climbing, makes this the toughest and biggest Cyclo-Cross event in the UK! What else can be said? Great spectacle. Unique event – well worth a visit even if you don’t take part! Excellent range of prizes.

Ben Clare once again stepped up to the challenge and beat last years time by over a minute, (must be all the hard training Ben), with several checkpoints and cut off points throughout the 38 miles there was to be no mucking about.

Ben finished in speedy 4:29:14 well done from all at QRC.
