Ladybower 20 17th September 2017

Descibed by the organisers as the friendliest and most beautiful Ultra marathon in the North of England. This was their 4th year running this event and it has become one of the most talked about ultras of the year

It is extremely popular with runners, cyclists and walkers alike. The route, a looped circuit of the Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs.  1 x 5 mile and 3 x 15 mile. The route was well marshalled and signed. The rest is a mixture of trail, track and a small section of country road (hardly used). Although the elevation of the route was mainly flat, there were some undulations.

Advertised as a 50 + 20 miler the actual distance of each of the routes was 50.9 miles and 20.7 miles respectively.

Well done to our very own super women Julie Hepworth and and Laeane Alston who stormed around the course in super quick times, no messing around from 2 of our on form runners, well done ladies you’re both going great keep it up.
