Salford 10k 14th April 2017

What a difference a week makes, last week in York it was a blistering 22c, in Salford on Good Friday it was raining with light winds, that didn’t stop 5 of us heading into town for the Salford 10k race, a race described as flat and fast with a potential for a PB, we certainly took their advice and gave it our all. Unfortunately, with David pulling out at last minute due to illness, it was left to Lynne, Richard Brook, Steve Brook and myself to show off the QRC colours, luckily for us though this also meant we had a kit man (every cloud…). With this race been organised by the Salford Harriers it meant only 1 thing, there was to be some top athletes entering and we were not disappointed with the eventual winner finishing in a swift 30:49 plus with the 1st 50 finishers running sub 35 mins the race certainly lived up to its billing.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a photo of Richard but he also claimed a PB of 40:46

Well done all
