Pit Lane Re-Visited!

More fabulous, enthusiastic, energetic and determined running from our marvelous Beginners’ Group, last Thursday 28 August!…a case of “Pit Lane Re-visited”!…hopefully a little easier to ascend than 6 weeks ago!! Our Beginners’ section headed off towards Keelham Farm Shop, turned down delightful Deep Lane, along the flat Malt Kiln Lane to a welcome resting point, before a “gentle” jaunt up Pit Lane to the clubhouse! The Intermediates had a lovely downhill run to Keelham Corner, then down Thornton Road, taking, at Thornton Primary School, a right turn along a particularly scenic part of the Great North Trail, before facing the testing ascent of Headley Lane and Pit Lane! From the looks on everyone’s faces, that was a demanding finish!! ..but, remember, in running, you get out what you put in, even if a week or two later!! Well done to everyone!…and congratulations to Stacey Cleal on her first, and extremely successful, run out with our regular club members!!
