The evening of July 10th was bathed in beautiful sunshine, with a hint of thundery clouds in the distance to keep everyone on their toes!! Conditions were muggy, but did not appear to pose too many difficulties for our rapidly improving Beginners’ Group! The courses chosen for both the Intermediate and Beginners’ sections were last week’s routes – in reverse! It meant a pleasant downhill meander to Keelham Corner, for our Intermediates,to be followed by interval work along Thornton Road to the Great North Trail – a mere warm up for the subsequent climb to the clubhouse at the top of Pit Lane!! Our Beginners’ section had an equally pleasant and scenic jog and walk towards Keelham Farm Shop, then turned down the quite steep Deep Lane, and practised interval running to the bottom of Pit Lane, which, just as the Intermediates did, they then ascended majestically. Our 25 runners had a very worthwhile workout, and continue to improve week by week – and also keep on posting personal bests in the Bradford park run! Well done everyone!
