..another hill conquered!!…by our Beginners.

We had absolutely fabulous efforts from EVERYONE, tonight, in both the Beginners’ and Intermediate sections! The Intermediate route down Pit Lane onto Thornton Viaduct (famed for the ghost of “Fair Becca”!!!), then up to Keelham Corner , followed by the gradual but tough mile long climb back on the Brighouse & Denholme Road to the clubhouse, was tackled with immense resolution, spirit and unyielding enthusiasm. Not to be outdone, the Beginners’ section tackled equally well the route of Pit Lane and the deceptive inclines of Deep Lane (and the car park of Sandal’s Farm Restaurant for a bit of fun!!), before the gentle rise to the clubhouse, again via the Brighouse & Denholme Road..wonderful effort!! What a pleasure to see the week on week improvement of everyone, and the visible pleasure on all faces at the end of our training runs! Our Beginners’ should hold their heads high and be very proud of their achievements in the 8 weeks since forming!
