Our Beginners’ Group once again had the chance to conquer the none-too-flat Pit Lane, for the second week in a row , in the training session of 26/06/14. The out-and-back course down Pit Lane, onto the Great North Trail to the bottom of Station Road, Queensbury, was again selected so that our intrepid runners could try to pace themselves more efficiently on a course that they were familiar with. As a result , the Intermediate section ran further than the previous week and finished much stronger! – and enjoyed themselves much more! Our “Beginners” section also practiced pacing, on the same route, and covered an amazing 20% more ground than last week! It is little wonder that our regular “park runners” within the overall group are recording new personal bests at Lister Park, on Saturday mornings, with great regularity! Well done to EVERYBODY! You are truly inspirational and have achieved an enormous amount in just 7 weeks!! Thanks to Jo, Steve, Karl and Craig for supervising and encouraging our runners! ps. Queensbury Running Club Beginners’ Group now has its own Facebook page!
